For Providers & Local Health Departments
Local health departments review and approve provider direct ship (CDC) flu orders on Tuesdays and Fridays. If an approval deadline is missed, provider orders will be processed the following CDPH transmission date.
Delivery windows are dependent on provider’s days/hours of operation. Update hours in myCAvax for any holiday or temporary closures. Watch for emails regarding order confirmations, advance shipment notices of vaccine and temperature monitoring alerts.

The following two-week cadence applies to approved SGF orders only.

Holiday Calendar
In observance of the State and Federal holidays coming up, there will be no order processing or vaccine deliveries during the dates listed below. Order processing and deliveries will recommence the following business day following routine processing timelines and during provider’s listed days/hours of availability. Providers must update hours in myCAvax for any additional holiday or temporary closure dates to prevent shipment incidents.
- Monday, February 16, 2026 (President’s Day)
- Monday, May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day)
CDPH strongly encourages providers to maintain enough vaccine supply to prevent vaccine outages if orders are delayed due to weather and/or carrier interruptions.
